40 Days: 021910-D3.1

it is 6:54 a.m.

Since uploading my last post, oh, 20 minutes ago, I remembered the other serendipitous moments that have happened since Day 1, most notably, telling  a story in class of a good friend, only to receive a note from him minutes later (after us not being in touch for months). We shared good thoughts and did not take the coincidence of events lightly.

It does not take much for us to open the channels for these connections to happen. When we choose patience over frustration, love over hatred, compassion over judgment, we begin to make changes for ourselves that have a ripple effect on to those around us.

To me, this shouts of a higher power, a greater stream of relations and relevance that we have barely begun to understand. Who are we to question this? To be too busy to contemplate the inexplicable love and energy that swirls around us?

I begin my day with two passages, one from Ephesians 4:31-32, and the other from the Tao Te Ching, Chapter 15:

Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.”

Do you have the patience to wait till your mud settles and the water is clear? Can you remain unmoving till the right action arises by itself? The Master doesn’t seek fulfillment. Not seeking, not expecting, she is present, and can welcome all things.”

May today’s journey be a blessed one.
